''New York New York'' () is a 2016 Chinese-Hong Kong romantic drama film directed by Luo Dong. It was released in China by Huayi Brothers and China Film Group on April 15, 2016. Plot The ill-fated lovers are Lu Tu (Ethan Juan), the bell captain at a grand hotel, and Juan (Du Juan), whose beauty regularly opens doors — most often to the bedrooms of wealthy older men. When a Shanghai-born Chinese American nicknamed Mr. Money arrives to recruit workers for a new hotel in Manhattan, Juan is ready to go. But Lu Tu, who hates his father for abandoning the family, doesn't want to be the kind of guy who runs away. He must choose between home and love, ultimately making a catastrophic decision. Ethan Juan (, born 8 November 1982) is a Taiwanese actor and model. He rose to prominence with the television series ''Fated to Love You'' (2008). Juan won the Best Actor award at the 47th Golden Horse Awards for his role in '' Monga'' in 2010. Early life Juan grew up in Taichung, Taiwan, with ancestral roots in Zhejiang. Peter Greene (born Peter Green; October 8, 1965) is an American actor. A character actor, he is generally known for portraying villains. He is best known for the roles in the 1994 films '' The Mask'', where he plays the films antagonist, Dorian Tyrell, and ''Pulp Fiction'', in which he portrayed Zed, a sadistic security guard, rapist, and serial killer who serves as an antagonist in the film.
