New Hampshire's 22nd State Senate district is one of 24 districts in the New Hampshire Senate. It has been represented by Republican Daryl Abbas since 2022. Geography District 22 spans the state's southern border with Massachusetts in Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties, including the towns of Atkinson, Pelham, Plaistow, and Salem. Walter Perry Havenstein (born April 24, 1949) is an American businessman, engineer, and former United States Marine. He was the Republican nominee for Governor of New Hampshire in 2014. Early life and education Havenstein is the son of Kathryn McKay (Creech) and Paul Lieder Havenstein, CDR, USN. Kelly Ann Ayotte ( ; born June 27, 1968) is an American attorney and politician who served as a United States senator from New Hampshire from 2011 to 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Ayotte served as New Hampshire Attorney General from 2004 to 2009.
