''New Empire, Vol. 2'' is the seventh studio album by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It was released on December 4, 2020 through Dove & Grenade Media and BMG and was produced by Matt Good. The album is the follow-up to the group's sixth album, '' New Empire, Vol. 1'' (2020). Background and promotion On July 31, the band released the first single titled "Idol" featuring Tech N9ne from the unannounced official follow-up to ''New Empire, Vol. 1''. On September 18, the band released the second single "Coming Home". On October 16, 2020, the band released the third single and remix version of the song "Heart of a Champion" featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills along with an accompanying music video. Hollywood Undead is an American rap rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2005. All of the band members use pseudonyms and previously wore their own unique mask, most of which were based on the common hockey goaltender design. The band currently consists of five members: J-Dog, Funny Man, Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, and Danny. They released their debut album, '' Swan Songs'', on September 2, 2008, and their live CD/DVD '' Desperate Measures'', on November 10, 2009. Ice Nine Kills (sometimes stylized in all capital letters or abbreviated to INK, and formerly known as Ice Nine) is an American heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, who are signed to Fearless Records. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Ted has one brother, Rick, and two daughters, Kristen and Kim. Luke Daniel Holland (born June 14, 1993) is an American drummer, most popular for his YouTube videos. Biography He was born in Peoria, Arizona. Despite his father being a professional drummer, Holland gained interest in the drums after hearing his neighbor playing at the age of 10. Around the same time, he bought his first drum kit, having saved up enough money after mowing lawns for a year. Self-taught, he played the snare drum in his high school marching band for a year and a half at Peoria High School throughout 2007 and 2008.
