Route 890 is a long north to south secondary highway in the southern portion of New Brunswick, Canada. Route description Most of the route is in Kings County. The route's northern terminus is in Three Rivers at Route 885, where it crosses the North River and travels southwest through Hillgrove, Cornhill East, and Cornhill. It then follows South Creek through Newtown and Smiths Creek (where it is known as ''South Creek Rd''), and it ends in Four Corners at Route 1. Three Rivers is a village in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It was formed through the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reforms. It encompasses the former village of Petitcodiac. Route 885 is a long north to south secondary highway in the south-eastern portion of New Brunswick, Canada. Route description Most of the route is in Kings County. The route's northern terminus is in New Canaan at Route 112 on the Canaan River. It travels southeast through Canaan Road and Havelock where it briefly merges with Route 880 near Havelock Airport. The route then passes through a mostly wooded area as it arrives in Kinnear Settlement and crosses Route 2. Route 885 then follows the North River as it enters Intervale, where it heads south where it is known as ''King Rd''. Cornhill, New Brunswick
Cornhill, formerly spelt Corn Hill, is a community in Kings County near the villages of Havelock and Three Rivers in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. The first settlers of Cornhill were loyalists mainly from the United Kingdom. These settlers would work the land and make way for future generations of Cornhill families. Cornhill was originally called "The Ridge". In the mid 19th century the name was changed to Corn Ridge and by 1890 was again changed to Corn Hill. The name may have come from the Cornhill area of Northumberland, England. Cornhill is also a well known street in London upon which the Bank of England stands. The first settlers of Cornhill were given grants from the government to own land wherein they had to undertake certain objectives to retain the land.
