New Brunswick Route 850
Route 850 is a Canadian highway in Kings County, New Brunswick. The 27 kilometre road passes along the northern side of the Kingston Peninsula. Route 850 begins near Springfield at an intersection with Route 124. Skirting the southern shore of Belleisle Bay, the route passes through Keirsteadville, Long Point and Erbs Cove, before terminating at Kingston at an intersection with Route 845. Just north of Erbs Cove, there is a cable ferry across Bellisle Bay. The ferry operates year-round. Much of the route passes through a narrow band of low lying agricultural land with forested hills rising in the background. This is a popular summer residential area and there is a small marina on the bay. Ayr (; sco, Ayr; gd, Inbhir Àir, "Mouth of the River Ayr") is a town situated on the southwest coast of Scotland. It is the administrative centre of the South Ayrshire council area and the historic county town of Ayrshire. With a population of 46,982 Ayr is the 15th largest settlement in Scotland and largest town in Ayrshire by population. The town is contiguous with the smaller town of Prestwick to the north. Route 845 is a Canadian highway in Kings County, New Brunswick. The road passes along the southern side of the Kingston Peninsula. Route 845 begins within the town limits of Hampton at an intersection with Route 121. Next comes the village of Kingston, followed by the village of Clifton Royal which has a cable ferry (Gondola Point Ferry) to the Saint John suburb of Quispamsis. Route 845 follows the southern shore of the Kingston Peninsula along the Kennebecasis River past Clifton Royal and Chapel Grove. Next is the community of Summerville, which has a seasonal ferry to Millidgeville, in Saint John. Kingston, New Brunswick
Kingston is a Canadian community in Kings County, New Brunswick. The village centre is located at the intersection of New Brunswick Routes 845 and 850. The square features a school, church, and a general store built in 1788. The MacDonald Consolidated School also houses a museum. There is also a popular farmers market in Kingston which draws buyers from such areas as Quispamsis and Rothesay, New Brunswick. History Located on the Kingston Peninsula, the village was settled in 1783 by Loyalists at the conclusion of the American Revolution. The Kings County Gaol was once located in the community but it was moved to nearby Hampton one stone at a time. The famous horse thief Henry More Smith once escaped from the jail.
