Route 790 is a long mostly east–west secondary highway in the southwestern portion of New Brunswick, Canada. Route description The route's eastern terminus is in the community of Musquash at exit 96 on Route 1 close to the West Branch Musquash River. It then travels southeast through mostly swamp and farm area, past Anderson Lake, to the eastern terminus of Route 795. The route then passes Javies Lakes as it enters Chance Harbour. The route passes Beldings Cove as it follows the shore of the Bay of Fundy. Crossing into Dipper Harbour, the route turns east and circles Dipper Harbour before continuing east to Point Lepreau and Maces Bay, where the route turns north. As the route continues, it passes through Little Lepreau and ends at Route 795 and Route 175. Route 175 is a -long mostly east–west secondary highway in southwest New Brunswick, Canada. Route description The route's eastern terminus is at Route 1 (exit 86) north-east of Lepreau, New Brunswick. The road travels south to the western terminus of Route 795 and the northern terminus of Route 790 and becomes Lepreau Village Road as it enters Lepreau after crossing the Lepreau River. The route then turns south-west on the Lepreau Village Road as it enters Lepreau. Continuing south-west, the route passes the eastern terminus of Route 780 then Mink Brook, Haggertys Cove then New River Beach crosses the New River and passes New River Beach Provincial Park. Point Lepreau is a cape in southwestern New Brunswick, Canada. It is at the southern tip of a peninsula that extends into the Bay of Fundy. This peninsula contains the boundary between Saint John County to the east and Charlotte County to the west, although the southernmost tip at Point Lepreau is within Charlotte County. Point Lepreau forms the eastern limit of Maces Bay. The Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station in Saint John County is a CANDU nuclear reactor operated by NB Power approximately northeast from the point. Dippers are members of the genus ''Cinclus'' in the bird family Cinclidae, so-called because of their bobbing or dipping movements. They are unique among passerines for their ability to dive and swim underwater. Taxonomy The genus ''Cinclus'' was introduced by the German naturalist Moritz Balthasar Borkhausen in 1797 with the white-throated dipper (''Cinclus cinclus'') as the type species. The name ''cinclus'' is from the Ancient Greek word ''kinklos'' that was used to describe small tail-wagging birds that resided near water. ''Cinclus'' is the only genus in the family Cinclidae. Musquash, New Brunswick
Musquash is a Canadian rural community in Saint John County, New Brunswick. It is located west southwest of the community of Prince of Wales in Musquash Parish. History Musquash was settled in the early 1800s at the head of navigation on the Musquash River. The Shore Line Railway (later Canadian Pacific Railway) was built through the community but has since been abandoned. The community includes the locales of Ivanhoe, West Musquash and Clinch's Mills. A post office was located in Musquash from 1847 to 1969. It was largely a farming and lumbering community but is now largely an exurb of Saint John, thanks to being located on the Route 1 expressway.
