Never Better (album)
''Never Better'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper P.O.S. It was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2009. It peaked at number 106 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Production Over half of the record is produced by P.O.S himself, along with contributions from Doomtree producers Lazerbeak, Paper Tiger and MK Larada. It features guest verses from Doomtree compatriots Sims, Cecil Otter and Dessa, as well as Astronautalis. Release The first single "Goodbye" was released in December, 2008. The second single "Drumroll (We're All Thirsty)" was released in January, 2009 on iTunes and Amazon.com. The track "Savion Glover" is a remix of a track previously released on Doomtree's '' False Hopes'' in 2007. The album was released in a limited custom transparent digipak edition designed by Minneapolis designer Eric Carlson. ''AbsolutePunk'' was a website, online community, and alternative music news source founded by Jason Tate (the most recent CEO). The website mainly focused on artists who are relatively unknown to mainstream audiences, but it was known to feature artists who have eventually achieved crossover success, including Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, The Gaslight Anthem, Anberlin, Thrice, All Time Low, Jack's Mannequin, Yellowcard, Paramore, Relient K, and A Day to Remember. The Bled
The Bled was an American post-hardcore band from Tucson, Arizona, formed in 2001. They released four albums (''Pass the Flask'', ''Found in the Flood'', ''Silent Treatment (The Bled album), Silent Treatment'' and ''Heat Fetish'') before disbanding in 2012. History Formation and early years (2001–2002) The Bled formed in 2001 under the name "The Radiation Defiance Theory" but changed the name because they felt it was too lengthy. Their music style was largely influenced by hardcore punk bands such as Refused, metalcore bands such as Cave In, and the mathcore band The Dillinger Escape Plan. After being a band for only two months, the band released an EP titled ''His First Crush'' with Ride the Rocket Records and Sunset Alliance, and released a The Bled (EP), self-titled EP a year later, both of which featured Adam Goss on vocals. The Plastic Constellations was an indie rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band consisted of guitarists/vocalists Aaron Mader and Jeff Allen, bassist Jordan Roske, and drummer Matt Scharenbroich. Aaron Mader is also an underground hip hop producer, operating in this capacity as a founding member of the collective Doomtree, under the alias Lazerbeak. History Formed in 1995 when they met as students at Hopkins High School, they played their first shows in 1996 at the First Avenue venue when they were 15 years old. Jason Shevchuk is an American singer and guitarist for the band None More Black. None More Black announced an indefinite hiatus in 2007 but later regrouped. On May 20, 2008, None More Black announced that they were back with a singular show scheduled for July 4, 2008, in Philadelphia. He is the former singer for Kid Dynamite and singer and guitarist for LaGrecia. Before Kid Dynamite, he was the vocalist for screamo band "Bound." Shevchuk became the vocalist of Kid Dynamite after winning an audition with his melodic yet abrasive voice and catchy "whoa-whoa-whoas". He left Kid Dynamite in 2000 to pursue film editing work. His first film, Ghetto Venue, was about the recently closed Philadelphia club Stalag 13. Jessy Greene is a violinist, cellist and vocalist from St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a former member of Geraldine Fibbers and The Jayhawks. Career A native of Sheffield in western Massachusetts, Jessy started playing the violin at the age of four. During high school she took a break from the instrument to play guitar in a rock band before deciding to play violin in more contemporary styles. Later, she got a degree from the UCLA in ethnomusicology, and joined the Peter Himmelman "Skin" tour, playing violin and singing backup.
