Nevelle Clarke
Nevelle Clarke (born November 16, 1996) is an American football cornerback for the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at UCF. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2020. High school career Clarke played wide receiver, cornerback, safety, and returner at J. P. Taravella High School. College career As a redshirt freshman, Clarke was named to the 2016–17 American All-Academic Team after recording fifteen tackles and two pass breakups. In his redshirt junior season, he was named to the All-ACC First-team after recording forty-six total tackles, thirteen pass breakups, and two interceptions. On January 9, 2019, Clark announced he would stay at UCF for his senior season. Clarke played in the 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl on January 18, 2020. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. Return Specialist
A return specialist or kick returner is a player on the special teams unit of a gridiron football team who specializes in returning punts and kickoffs. There are few players who are exclusively return specialists; most also play another position such as wide receiver, defensive back, or running back. The special teams counterpart of a return specialist is a kicking specialist. According to All-American Venric Mark, "Returning punts is harder. Non-football injury and non-football illness (NFI) are roster designations used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who are unable to practice as a result of conditions unrelated to football, or injuries that did not occur during NFL games or practices. They are similar to the physically unable to perform and injured reserve lists. Active/NFI Players who report to training camp injured or ill due to injuries or illnesses sustained outside of NFL practices or games can be placed on the active/non-football injury or active/non-football illness lists while they recover. A player cannot remain on an NFI list if they participate in a practice or game during the preseason. The 2020 East–West Shrine Bowl was the 95th staging of the all–star college football exhibition to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children.
