Nevada's 6th Senate district is one of 21 districts in the Nevada Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Nicole Cannizzaro, the current Senate Majority Leader, since 2016. Geography and demographics District 6 is located in the Las Vegas Valley in Clark County, including parts of Summerlin and Las Vegas proper. The district overlaps with Nevada's 1st, 3rd, and 4th congressional districts, and with the 34th and 37th districts of the Nevada Assembly. It has a surface area of , and a perimeter of . Brian Sandoval
Brian Edward Sandoval (; born August 5, 1963) is an American politician, academic administrator, and former federal judge who served as the 29th Governor of Nevada from 2011 to 2019. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, Sandoval began his political career in the early 1990s. In 1998 he was appointed to be a member of the Nevada Gaming Commission and later served as the Commission's chairman from 1999 to 2001. The lieutenant governor of Nevada is a constitutional officer in the executive branch, executive branch of government of the U.S. state of Nevada. Mark Alan Hutchison (born May 5, 1963) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 34th Lieutenant Governor of Nevada from 2015 to 2019. He was elected to the Nevada State Senate on November 6, 2012, to represent Nevada Senate, District 6, Senate District 6, which encompasses the Northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley, including portions of the communities of Summerlin, Desert Shores and Sun City. Michael Craig Roberson is an American attorney and politician who served in the Nevada Senate from 2010 until 2018, representing the Nevada's 20th Senate district, 20th district.
