Ottomar de Sousa Pinto (January 19, 1931 – December 11, 2007) was a Brazilian politician, who was Governor of the state of Roraima from November 2004 until his death in December 2007. He was a member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party. Education and aeronautics work He was born in Petrolina, Pernambuco. He was a brigadier in the Brazilian Air Force. Boa Vista (, literally ''Good View''; figuratively "Fairview") is the capital of the Brazilian state of Roraima. Situated on the western bank of the Branco River, the city lies from Brazil's border with Venezuela. It is the only Brazilian state capital located entirely north of the equator. Progressistas (; PP) is a centre-right to right-wing political party in Brazil. Founded in 1995 as the Brazilian Progressive Party, it emerged from parties that were successors to ARENA, the ruling party of the Brazilian military dictatorship.
