Netishyn ( uk, Нетішин, russian: Нетешин, pl, Niecieszyn) is a city in Shepetivka Raion of Khmelnytskyi Oblast (province), in the west of Ukraine. It is located on the Horyn River. Netishyn hosts the administration of Netishyn urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Netishyn is the site of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant. Until 18 July 2020, Netishyn was incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion. In July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Khmelnytskyi Oblast to three, the city of Netishyn was merged into Shepetivka Raion. Shepetivka Raion ( uk, Шепетівський район) is a raion in Khmelnytskyi Oblast in Ukraine. Its administrative center is Shepetivka. Its population is On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Khmelnytskyi Oblast was reduced to three, and the area of Shepetivka Raion was significantly expanded. Valerii Yuriyovych Fedorchuk ( ua, Валерій Юрійович Федорчук; born 5 October 1988) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Rukh Lviv. Alina Ivanivna Komashchuk ( uk, Аліна Іванівна Комащук; born 24 April 1993) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. Competing in team events, she is the 2013 World champion and 2016 Olympic silver medalist. Career In April 2013, Komashchuk won the gold medal in the Women's Sabre at the 2013 Junior and Cadet World Championship, held in the Croatian town of Poreč. Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant
The Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant is a nuclear power plant in Netishyn, Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine. The plant is operated by Energoatom. Two VVER-1000 reactors are operational, each generating 1000 MW (net) of electricity. Construction of the first reactor started in 1981 and the first unit was put in operation in late 1987. Construction of the second reactor started in 1983 with plans to finish it in 1991. In 1990, however, construction was stopped as part of a moratorium on new plant construction. Construction was completed only in August 2004 after the moratorium was lifted. Two more VVER-1000 reactors were under construction: Construction of the third reactor started in September 1985 and the fourth reactor in June 1986. Construction was stopped in 1990 when they were 75% and 28% complete, respectively. City of regional significance ( uk, місто обласного значення, ''misto oblasnoho znachennia'') in Ukraine was a type of second-level administrative division or municipality, the other type being raions (districts).
