Netball At The 2010 Commonwealth Games
Netball was one of 17 sports that were contested at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Netball is a core sport for women at the Commonwealth Games, and one of only three events in the 2010 programme for women only (the other two are rhythmic gymnastics and synchronised swimming). Netball at the Commonwealth Games is one of the premier events in international netball, and the 2010 event was the fourth time that the sport has been contested at the Games. Matches were held between at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex. Twelve participating nations were divided into two pools. After the preliminary matches, Australia and Jamaica progressed to the medal playoffs from Pool A, while New Zealand and England advanced from Pool B. Susan Pratley
Susan Leanne Pettitt (née ''Pratley'' on 23 March 1984) is a former Australian international netball player, who played goal attack or goal shooter. She was a member of the Australian national team from 2006–2018, replacing the likes of Eloise Southby-Halbish, Megan Dehn, and Cynna Kydd. Prior to this she was quite an experienced campaigner as captain of the Australian 21 and under team, and the national league team AIS Canberra Darters. Mwayi Kumwenda
Mwai Kumwenda ' (born 27 September 1989) is a Malawi netball international player. She represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. Kumwenda was the top goal scorer at three successive major tournaments – the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the 2015 Netball World Cup and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At the 2015 Netball World Cup she was also named Player of the Tournament. Jhaniele Fowler (formerly known as Jhaniele Fowler-Reid; born 21 July 1989) is a professional Jamaican netball player and as of 2018 a member of the West Coast Fever in the Suncorp Super Netball League. Fowler also plays domestic netball in Jamaica for the Waulgrovians club, and has been a member of the Jamaica national netball team (the Sunshine Girls) since 2010. Simone Forbes
Simone Nagina Forbes (born 20 June 1981) is a Jamaican sportswoman, having represented Jamaica in no less than five sports, including netball, volleyball, basketball, football and softball. Forbes played netball with Jamaica U21 in 1998, before making her debut with the Jamaica national netball team the following year. She continued with the national team, winning bronze medals at two Netball World Championships (2003 and 2007) and at the 2002 Commonwealth Games; she also won a silver medal at the inaugural 2009 World Netball Series, followed by another bronze in 2010 World Netball Series. Romelda Aiken-George (néé Aiken) (born 19 November 1988) is a Jamaican netball player. Aiken debuted for the Jamaica national team in 2005 as a replacement for regular shooter Elaine Davis. The shooter rose to international prominence during the 2007 Netball World Championships. In 2008, Aiken signed with the Queensland Firebirds to play in the ANZ Championship in Australia and New Zealand.
