Nepal National League
The National League (also known as Red Bull National League) is a club-level association football competition in Nepal. The champions secured qualification to a continental cup, previously the AFC President's Cup (now AFC Cup). It took place for two seasons in 2011–12 and 2015. In other years the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League was and still is the highest level league in Nepal, together with franchise based Nepal Super League. Due to the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2015 season was halted for several mothns, before professional level football was paused in Nepal due to the earthquake's aftermath, until the next season of the 2018–19 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, both Territories of the United States, territories of the United States, are also AFC members that are geographically in Oceania. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. Sankata BSC
Sankata Boys Sports Club, commonly known as Sankata Club, is a Nepalese professional football club based in Kathmandu, that competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Named after Sankata Temple, the club has won the national championship three times, most recently in 1985. History Being a successful club in the 1980s, Sankata won the title of the national championship in 1980, 1983 and 1985. Due to poor performance just winning five games out of 22 in A-Division league 2010 the club was relegated to Martyr's Memorial B-Division League after 38 years. However, the team won the 2011 Martyr's Memorial B-Division League and since is playing in Nepal's highest league. In 2019, the team became runners-up in the 2018–19 league, making it the best season of the club since the 1980s, in what The Kathmandu Post called a "stunning" performance. Sudurpashchim Province
Sudurpashchim Province ( ne, सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश, ''Sudurpashchim Province'') (''Far-West Province'') is one of the seven provinces established by the new constitution of Nepal which was adopted on 20 September 2015. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Karnali Province and Lumbini Province to the east, and the India's Kumaon to the west and Uttar Pradesh to the south. Lumbini Province
Lumbini Province ( ne, लुम्बिनी प्रदेश, Lumbinī pradēśa) is a province in western Nepal. It borders Gandaki Province and Karnali Province to the north, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar of India to the south. Lumbini is the third largest and the third most populous province among the Nepali provinces. Banke District ( ne, बाँके जिल्ला , a part of Lumbini Province, is one of the 77 districts of Nepal. 2019–20 Martyr's Memorial A-Division League
The 2019–20 ''Martyr's Memorial'' A-Division League ( ne, शहीद स्मारक ए डिभिजन लिग २०७६) season, also known as the Qatar Airways ''Martyr's Memorial'' A-Division League for sponsorship reasons, was the 43rd edition of the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League since its establishment in 1954/55. A total of 18 teams competed in the league. The season began on 14 December 2019 and concluded on 15 February 2020. Manang Marshyangdi Club were the defending champions. Machhindra Football Club were crowned as league winners for the first time in club's history on the last day of the league, after defeating Nepal Army Club by 1–0. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali language, Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. Friends Club
Friends Club is a Nepali professional football club from the Kopundole neighborhood of Lalitpur. The club is known for nurturing young talent of Nepalese Football. Friends Club has produced more than 200 national football players to date. It also organized certain social activities like reading room facilities, blood donations, bicycle rallies against drug abuse etc. Since the late 1980s, it has implemented different training activities for women and children.
