Nenad Starovlah
Nenad Starovlah (Serbian Cyrillic: Ненад Старовлах; Greek: Νέναντ Στάροβλαχ; born 29 July 1955) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player. He also holds Cypriot citizenship. Club career Born in Sarajevo, Starovlah was chosen as the best young player at the tournament of the Republic Championship and was after the tournament called up to the first team of hometown club Željezničar in July 1972. He later on played 137 league games for Željezničar from 1972 till 1982, and as a defender nevertheless scored 18 goals. He was part of the team that played in the 1980–81 Yugoslav Cup final against Velež Mostar which they lost 3–2. He retired from professional football in 1982 at the age of 27 because of a serious knee injury. International career Starovlah got a chance to play in two games for the Yugoslavia national team, with whom he won the gold medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Games in Split. Elvir Baljić
Elvir Baljić (born 8 July 1974) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player. As a player, Baljić's biggest success was winning the UEFA Champions League with Spanish giant Real Madrid in the 1999–2000 season. Apart from the UEFA Champions League success, he also won the Turkish Süper Lig with Fenerbahçe in the 2000–01 season. After ending his playing career, he became an assistant manager of Safet Sušić at the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, with whom he qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was then, the manager of back then TFF First League club Karabükspor in 2015. After Karabükspor, Baljić was also an assistant of Sušić at Alanyaspor in 2017 and at Akhisarspor in 2018. Mario Stanić
Mario Stanić (born 10 April 1972) is a former Croatian footballer. Being a versatile offensive player, he was no stranger to any forward or attacking midfield position, and was even deployed as a wing-back in the national team. Club career Stanić started his career with Željezničar Sarajevo. He was considered to be one of the most talented young players in former Yugoslavia. In 1992, war began and Stanić escaped to Slavonski Brod wading the Sava and moved to Croatia, where he played for Croatia Zagreb. After only one season, he moved to Spanish Sporting de Gijón, and year later to S.L. Benfica in Portugal. Milan Ribar (21 November 1930 – 26 May 1996) was a Bosnian professional football manager and former player. He is the only manager in Željezničar history to have won the Yugoslav First League. Playing career Ribar played for hometown club Željezničar on two occasions (1950–1953 and 1956–1960) and Borac Banja Luka (1953–1956). Fudbalski klub Velež Mostar ( sh-Cyrl, Фудбалски клуб Beлеж Мостар; English: Football club Velež Mostar) is a professional football club based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club has a history of being one of the most successful clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded on 26 June 1922. The club currently plays at Rođeni Stadium (7,000 capacity), but its historic stadium is the Bijeli Brijeg (9,000 capacity). Due to the divisions between Bosniak and Croat territories, Velež lost its previous home ground of Bijeli Brijeg. The 1980–81 Yugoslav Cup ( sr, Куп Југославије; hr, Kup Jugoslavije; sl, Pokal Jugoslavije, mk, Куп на Југославија); also known as "Marshal Tito Cup" (''Kup Maršala Tita''); was the 33rd season of the top association football knockout competition in Yugoslavia since its establishment in 1946.
