Nek Pervin
''Nek Pervin'' is a 1946 Indian- Hindustani-language film directed by S. M. Yusuf. The film stars Ragni in the titular role of Pervin, who faces all of her marital hardships given by her husband with patience. Ulhas and Yakub played the pivotal roles. The music was composed by Feroz Nizami. The film was remade by the direction in 1975 with the same title starring Muhammad Ali, Nisho and Aslam Pervaiz. Plot The film revolves around a simple girl Pervin who teaches in a school and gets rewarded at the end due to her patience. She leaves the school job when her aunt gets married her with Afzal, knowing that he is a gambler. She thinks that after marriage he will turn into a good one but, it could not happen and he even becomes the alcoholic too and loses all of his property in gambling. Ragni (actress)
Ragni (born Shamshad Begum; October 1924 – 2007), also known as Shaado, was a Pakistani actress. She worked in Urdu and Punjabi films under her stage name ''Ragni''. She also worked in Hindi films in cinema of India. She was known for her beautiful doe like eyes and was known as ''Almond-eyed Beauty''. Ragni is considered to be the highest-paid actress of her time in 1940s, being paid 1 lakh rupees by AR Kardar for her role in ''Shahjehan''. Early life Ragini was born as Shamshad Begum in Gujranwala in 1924. Her mother died when Ragni was very young and her father Seth Diwan Parmanand took her with him to Lahore and they lived at a house on Fleming Road. Yakub (actor)
Yakub Khan (3 April 1903 – 24 August 1958), known as Yakub, was an Indian actor born into a Pathan family in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He is best known for his comic and comic villainous roles. He began his career with roles as an extra, but eventually was cast in more important roles, frequently playing the parts of heroes and villains. He became one of the most renowned screen villains, while achieving equal success in comedy and character roles. Yakub appeared in over 100 films. Early life Yakub ran away from home at an early age, and performed odd jobs, such as a motor mechanic and table waiter, before joining the crew of the ship S.S. Madura as a kitchen worker. Feroz Nizami (born Ferozuddin Ahmad; 10 November 1910 – 15 November 1975), was a Pakistani film score composer, music director and classical singer. He composed music for bollywood films in British India and after partition, he remained actively involved in Pakistan film industry. He is primarily recognized as a music composer for a music blockbuster Indian film '' Jugnu'' (1947), which helped him to appear among the prominent composers in both India and Pakistan cinemas. Aslam Parvez (12 February 1932 – 21 November 1984) was a Pakistani film actor. Career Born as Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam into a family of traders in Lahore, Punjab, British India on 12 February 1932. Started by Baburao Patel in 1935, ''filmindia'' was the first English film periodical to be published from Bombay.
