Neiphiu Rio
Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio (born 11 November 1950) is an Indian politician serving as the 9th Chief Minister of Nagaland. Rio has also served as Chief Minister for three separate terms (2002–07, 2007–12, 2012–14 and 2018–till date), making him the only Nagaland Chief Minister to have served three consecutive terms. He was a Member of Parliament from Nagaland in Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2018. Early life and education Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio was born on 11 November 1950 to an Angami Naga family from Tuophema. His mother and father were Kevilhouü and Guolhoulie Rio. He received his early education from Baptist English School, Kohima and Sainik School, Purulia, West Bengal. Tokheho Yepthomi
Tokheho Yepthomi (born 1 April 1956) is an Indian politician from Nagaland. He is a former Cabinet Minister of Nagaland and currently Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha for Nagaland. Early life and personal life Tokheho Yepthomi was born and raised in Aghunato, Nagaland. He graduated from St. Edmund's College, Shillong and was an active student leader in his college days. He served as the President of Eastern Sumi Students Union before entering active politics as a member of the Indian National youth Congress. Prior to seeking election he was involved in the timber trade during the peak timber business period of Nagaland in the 1980s. President's Rule
In India, President's rule is the suspension of state government and imposition of direct Union government rule in a state. Under Article 356 of the Constitution of India, if a state government is unable to function according to Constitutional provisions, the Union government can take direct control of the state machinery. The Naga National Council (NNC) is a political organization of Naga people, active from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. It evolved out of the Naga Hills District Tribal Council, an organization established in 1945 by the Deputy Commissioner of the Naga Hills district.
