Necropolis (album)
''Necropolis'' is the eighth studio album by the Polish death metal band Vader. The album was released on 21 August 2009 by Nuclear Blast. The album was nominated for a Fryderyk Award in the category 'Heavy Metal Album of the Year (Album roku heavy metal)'. On 8 April 2009, Vader released the first part of their studio report for the album. Subsequently, the second part was released on 22 April, and the third part was released on 27 May. Necropolis was recorded between March and April 2009 at Hertz Studio in Białystok, Poland, and was produced by Tue Madsen. Mixing and mastering for the album took place at Antfarm Studio in Denmark by Madsen, except the songs "The Seal" and "Summoning the Futura", which were mixed at VooDoo Gates Studio in Olsztyn, Poland. Necropolis is the first Vader release that features drummer Paweł "Paul" Jaroszewicz. Vader (band)
Vader is a Polish death metal band from Olsztyn. Formed in 1983, the group was founded by then-bassist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and guitarist Zbigniew "Vika" Wróblewski. Vader went through several lineup changes over the years, with Wiwczarek as the only constant member. Since 2022, the band has comprised Wiwczarek on guitars and vocals, guitarist Marek "Spider" Pająk, bassist Tomasz "Hal" Halicki, and drummer Michał Andrzejczyk. Starting as a heavy metal group, Vader eventually went to thrash, speed, and then in the late 1980s became a death metal band. It would not be until nine years after forming that they managed to release their debut album '' The Ultimate Incantation'' (1992); Vader has released eleven more studio albums since then. Piotr Paweł Wiwczarek (born 22 October 1965 in Olsztyn, Poland), also known as Peter, (ex nickname Behemoth) is a Polish musician who is the vocalist and lead guitarist for the death metal band Vader, as the only constant member of the band since its inception. He has also collaborated with Kazimierz "Para" Paraszczuk on his tribute album, Bandid Rockin', and is the producer of several of Vader's releases. He is also the founder and guitarist of a side-project, named Panzer X. Wiwczarek also became a producer for the first time in 1999, when producing the Polish death metal band Decapitated's first release, ''Winds of Creation''. Wacław Kiełtyka
Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (born 17 December 1981) is a Polish musician, best known as the guitarist of the death metal band Decapitated. In addition to Decapitated, Wacław has been the guitarist of Lux Occulta since 1998, as well as a former member of the Krakow group Sceptic. He also worked with the death metal band Vader. He is a graduate of musical school in the first and second degree, and attended the Academy of Music in Kraków as an accordionist. Kiełtyka auditioned for second guitarist of Morbid Angel after the departure of Erik Rutan in 2006. Before joining Vader in 2009, Kiełtyka was a music store salesman. He also worked as a guitar technician for the band Hypocrisy. In September 2019, Kiełtyka was named as the new Machine Head lead guitarist in a post on the band's Facebook page by founding member Robb Flynn. ''Ride the Lightning'' is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on July 27, 1984, by the independent record label Megaforce Records. The album was recorded in three weeks with producer Flemming Rasmussen at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The artwork, based on a concept by the band, depicts an electric chair being struck by lightning flowing from the band logo.
