Nea Manolada
Nea Manolada (Greek language, Greek: Νέα Μανολάδα) is a community in the municipal unit of Vouprasia, Elis (regional unit), Elis, southwestern Greece. It is located in a vast, rural plain, It is 3 km southwest of Neo Vouprasio, 3 km northeast of Varda, Greece, Varda and 37 km southwest of Patras. The Greek National Road 9 (Patras - Pyrgos, Elis, Pyrgos) passes east of the village, and the railway Patras - Pyrgos runs through the village. In 2001, a train derailment occurred in Nea Manolada injuring two passengers as a train was heading from Athens to Kyparissia. Western Greece Region ( el, Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας, translit=Periféria Dhitikís Elládhas, ) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. Elis or Ilia ( el, Ηλεία, ''Ileia'') is a historic region in the western part of the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece. It is administered as a regional unit of the modern region of Western Greece. Its capital is Pyrgos. Until 2011 it was Elis Prefecture, covering the same territory. The modern regional unit is nearly coterminous with the ancient Elis of the classical period. Vouprasia
Vouprasia ( el, Βουπρασία) is a former municipality in Elis, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Andravida-Kyllini, of which it is a municipal unit. Its seat of administration was Varda, a small town with a population of about 2,300. The municipal unit has about 8,400 inhabitants. The area of the municipal unit is 170.859 km². Geography Vouprasia is located in northern Elis, on the Ionian coast between Patras and Pyrgos. The Greek National Road 9/ E55 and the Patras-Kalamata railway line pass through it. Vouprasia has one disused railway station, in Varda. The area is mostly flat, and the main land use is agriculture. Metochi ( Greek: Μετόχι) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Larissos, western Achaea, Greece. The community consists of the villages Metochi, Vouprasio, Neo Vouprasio and Lappas. Lappas was the seat of the former municipality of Larissos. Metochi is located in the plains near the Ionian Sea coast, 5 km south of Araxos, 3 km southwest of Araxos Airport, 14 km west of Kato Achaia and 32 km west of Patras. Varda ( el, Βάρδα) is a town and a community in the municipal unit of Vouprasia, Elis, Greece. It was the seat of the former municipality Vouprasia. The community Varda consists of the town Varda and the villages Kougaiika, Komi, Sympanio and Psari. Varda is situated in the plains near the Ionian Sea, and east of the Kotychi lagoon. It is 2 km southeast of Manolada, 3 km southwest of Nea Manolada, 14 km northeast of Lechaina and 40 km southwest of Patras. Greek National Road 9 ( el, Εθνική Οδός 9, abbreviated as EO9) is a single carriageway with at-grade intersections in the West Greece and Peloponnese regions. It runs along the west coast of the Peloponnese peninsula, from Patras to Methoni via Pyrgos. Its length is around , making it the second-longest national highway of Greece.
