Navas (Barcelona Metro)
Navas is a Barcelona Metro station located in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona, served by L1. It opened in 1953. The name refers to carrer Navas de Tolosa, and the station was originally called ''Navas de Tolosa'' until it adopted its current name in 1982. Like the rest of stations in this section of L1, Navas is located under Avinguda Meridiana, and can be accessed from the street of the same name and from carrer de Biscaia. On 21 February 2007 a deaf ONCE lottery seller was murdered in the station by being pushed on to the railtrack. Barcelona Metro
The Barcelona Metro (Catalan and Spanish: ) is an extensive network of rapid transit electrified railway lines that run mostly underground in central Barcelona and into the city's suburbs. It is part of the larger public transport system of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, Spain, with unified fares under the (ATM) scheme. As of 2014, the network is operated by two separate companies: (TMB) and (FGC). It is made up of 12 lines, combining the lines owned by the two companies. Two lines, L9 and L10, are being built at present, with both lines having different sections of each opened between 2009 and 2018. They are due to be fully completed in 2026. Sant Andreu
Sant Andreu () is one of the ten districts of Barcelona since its redistricting in 1984. It was named after the former municipality of Sant Andreu de Palomar, which was the largest in the area and now makes up the bulk of the neighbourhood bearing its name, as well as part of the neighboring district of Nou Barris. Its size is 653 ha. (third district in size) and it had 142,598 inhabitants in 2005. District Of Barcelona
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain is divided into 10 districts. These are administrated by a councillor designated by the main city council, and each of them have some powers relating to issues such as urbanism or infrastructure in their area. The current division of the city into different districts was approved in 1984. In 2009 Barcelona started using a new division of 73 neighbourhoods (the 10 districts are still in use), a division that was done for a better service from the City Council. Line 1, shortened to L1, coloured red and often simply called ''Línia vermella'' ("Red Line"), is the second oldest Barcelona Metro line, after line L3. It is the longest line of the Barcelona Metro, and links L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
