The Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) is a transport association run by public transport providers in the German states of Berlin and Brandenburg. It is a private limited company owned jointly by the states of Berlin and Brandenburg (with one third each) and the 18 counties and cities of Brandenburg with 1.85% each. It was founded on 30 December 1996. VBB claims to be one of the largest transport associations in Europe based on the area covered of 30,367 km² with nearly 6 million inhabitants. Schwerin Hauptbahnhof
Schwerin Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station of the capital of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located in the northwest of the central city. It includes four tracks on two platforms and a siding west of the fourth track. Currently the station is used by about 12,000 passengers a day. Building The station building was built in 1889 and 1890 to a design by E. MĂĽller in the style of the GrĂĽnderzeit. The main hall has two lower links connecting to corner pavilions. The entrance hall was lowered in 1927. A few shops are located in the lobby next to the service facilities of Deutsche Bahn. A pedestrian tunnel leads from the hall to two island platforms with four platform tracks. On the opposite side of the station the tunnel is connected to two staircases and an elevator. Wismar Station
Wismar (german: Bahnhof Wismar) is a railway station in the town of Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The station lies on the Ludwigslust–Wismar railway and Wismar–Rostock railway and the train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn. History After construction of the Schwerin–Wismar railway, a station was needed at the terminus. The chosen site offered convenient access to the port of Wismar. By the end of 1847, the first buildings were built, two sheds for materials and a kyanizing works. Later a roundhouse, a carriage shed, a tool shed and a coke store and a coke oven were added. It was estimated that the construction of the planned entrance building would cost about 28,500 Thalers. Cottbus Hauptbahnhof is one of the main railway stations of the German state of Brandenburg. It was called Cottbus station until 9 December 2018. It is located just south of central Cottbus. Berlin–Hamburg Railway
The Berlin–Hamburg Railway (german: Berlin-Hamburger Bahn) is a roughly long railway line for passenger, long-distance and goods trains. It was the first high-speed line upgraded in Germany to be capable of handling train speeds of over (up to 230 km/h). Nauen
Nauen is a small town in the Havelland district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is chiefly known for Nauen Transmitter Station, the world's oldest preserved radio transmitting installation.
