The National Swedish Touring Theatre ( sv, Riksteatern) is biggest touring theatre company in Sweden and can, in one way, almost be described as Sweden's national stage on tour. The National Swedish Touring Theatre is financed and owned by 240 local economic associations throughout Sweden and the goal is to promote and produce quality theatre for all of Sweden, outside the city regions. Touring Theatre
Touring theatre is independent travelling theatre that is presented at a different location in each city. A touring theatre is produced by a theater company, called the producing entity, often based in one location, and sold, as a show, by a booking agent to presenters. The presenters are responsible for arranging the venue, local crew, and any other considerations needed and specified in the rider. The presenter pays a set amount of money to the producing entity, and the producing entity then pays the traveling crew by check or direct deposit. The show could be in for one performance on one day, or for a "sit" of a week or longer. Extended engagements can last six weeks or more. Operation The contract between the presenter and the producing entity often includes stipulations on ''force majeure'', labor actions, and schedule of compensations and when each payment is due. Royal Dramatic Theatre
The Royal Dramatic Theatre ( sv, Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern, colloquially ''Dramaten'') is Sweden's national stage for "spoken drama", founded in 1788. Around one thousand shows are put on annually on the theatre's five running stages. The theatre has been at its present location in the Art Nouveau building at Nybroplan, Stockholm, since 1908. The theatre was built by the architect Fredrik Lilljekvist. Famous artists like Carl Milles and Carl Larsson were involved in making the decorations, and some of the interior decorations were made by Prince Eugen. The theatre's acting school, the Royal Dramatic Training Academy, produced many actors and directors who would go on to be famous, including Gustaf Molander (who also taught there), Alf Sjöberg, Greta Garbo, Vera Schmiterlöw, Signe Hasso, Ingrid Bergman, Gunnar Björnstrand, Max von Sydow, and Bibi Andersson. Cullberg Ballet
Cullberg Ballet ( sv, Cullbergbaletten) is a Swedish contemporary dance company. It was founded by the modern dancer and pioneer choreographer Birgit Cullberg in 1967, who brought it to fame. After Cullberg's retirement in 1985 the company was until 1993 run by her son, the popular Swedish dancer, choreographer and stage director Mats Ek. From 2003 ''Cullbergbaletten'' was managed by choreographer Johan Inger and from 2009 to 2013 Anna Grip held the position as artistic director. From 2014 to 2022, Gabriel Smeets was the artistic director of the ballet. Lars Göran Ingemar Norén (9 April 1944 – 26 January 2021) was a Swedish playwright, novelist and poet. His plays are realistic and often revolve around family and personal relations, either among people who are impoverished and rooted at the bottom of society, or people who live in material comfort but emotional insecurity. Career His first publication was a collection of poems - ''Syrener, snö'' (Lilac, snow) in 1963. He was among the contributors of '' Puss'' satirical magazine in late 1960s. Norén's play ''7:3'' became a centre of controversy, after the murders of two policemen in Malexander in 1999 (''The Malexander murders'').
