Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Mostafa Hashemitaba ( fa, مصطفی هاشمی‌طبا; born 22 May 1946) is an Iranian reformist politician. Hashemitaba served as Iran's minister of industries and vice president, as well as head of National Olympic Committee of Iran. He is described as having 'centrist' views. He was a candidate in the 2001 Iranian presidential election, and was placed 10th. He was also a candidate in the 2017 election. A National Olympic Committee (NOC) is a national constituent of the worldwide Olympic movement. Subject to the controls of the International Olympic Committee, NOCs are responsible for organizing their people's participation in the Olympic Games. Iran, officially the Islamic Republic of Iran since 1979, first participated at the Olympic Games in 1900. Iran has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since 1948, except for 1980 and 1984 due to political boycotts. Issa Kalantari ( fa, عیسی کلانتری, born 1952 in Marand, East Azerbaijan) is an Iranian politician and former head of Department of Environment, serving from 2017 to 2021.
