National Lacrosse League Dispersal Draft
The National Lacrosse League dispersal draft is a meeting where the general managers of National Lacrosse League teams choose players from teams that are ceasing operations. The NLL has seen many team changes over the years (the 1993 season was the last time the league had no team changes over the previous season), so dispersal drafts have been commonplace. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League, NHL and National Basketball Association, NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the National Lacrosse League Cup. The NLL has averaged between 8,900 and 10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004. Mitch Belisle
Mitchell Dye Belisle (born November 9, 1985) is an American former professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse and former player for the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League. Belisle represented the United States in the 2014 FIL World Championship and the 2011 FIL World Indoor Championship. Collegiate career Belisle is a graduate of Cornell University and a member of the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame. As a senior he was awarded the Schmeisser Award as the nation's top defender. He also received First-team All-American team honors, and was named to his second All-Ivy League team while leading the Big Red to the 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship Final Four. Jarett Park
Jarett Park (born October 25, 1982) is a professional lacrosse player from Otisco, New York. He currently plays for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League, and the Washington Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse. College career Park is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he was a two-sport athlete. A midfielder on the lacrosse team, leading the team in groundballs in all four seasons, he helped them win two NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships in 2002 and 2004. Park also played on the Orangemen soccer team. As a freshman, he was awarded the Big East Rookie of the Year and led the nation in assists per game. Chet Koneczny (born May 9, 1984) is a professional lacrosse player for the Halifax Thunderbirds in the National Lacrosse League. College and club career Koneczny attended York University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. He was recruited to play quarterback for the college football team. He was a decorated player in the Ontario Lacrosse Association, where he played in both the junior and senior divisions. Mike McLellan
Mike McLellan (born September 4, 1981) is an indoor lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League and an outdoor lacrosse player formerly of the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. Nicknamed "The Maestro", he played college lacrosse at Mercyhurst University and was named a two-time NCAA Division II All-American. McLellan was drafted 14th overall by the Edmonton Rush in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft, and was immediately traded to the Arizona Sting. Ryan Boyle
Ryan J. Boyle (born November 22, 1981 in Hunt Valley, Maryland) is a former lacrosse player who last played professional field lacrosse for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). He most recently played professional box lacrosse for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) until his release in 2011. Boyle starred in both lacrosse and American football for Gilman School from 1996 to 2000. He starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 2001 through 2004. Rory Smith (lacrosse Player)
Rory Smith (born February 1, 1987) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Vancouver Stealth of the National Lacrosse League and the Victoria Shamrocks of Western Lacrosse Association. Smith is known as an enforcer, and has racked up over 1,000 career penalty minutes during his amateur and professional career. His 104 penalty minutes with Orlando in 2010 is the record for most penalty minutes in a single season in NLL history. Jordan Rhys Hall (born August 31, 1984) is a Canadian lacrosse player from Surrey, British Columbia who plays for the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League and the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. Brett Queener (born September 30, 1984 in Penn Yan, New York) is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Community School of Naples varsity lacrosse team.
