National Bank of Pakistan Football Club or commonly known as National Bank or NBP was a Pakistani football club based in Karachi, Sindh. The club used to compete in the Pakistan Premier League. History The club has won Football Federation League twice, first in 1993 and second in 2004–05, and National Football Challenge Cup twice, winning their first in 1993 and second in 2013. The club was closed after the shutdown of departmental sports in Pakistan in September 2021. KMC Football Stadium
The KMC Football Stadium, also known as the CDGK Stadium, is an association football stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, with a capacity of 15,000. It belongs to the Karachi Municipal Corporation. It is one of the oldest stadiums in the country, and has hosted over 100 international football matches for Pakistan, along with teams from USSR, Iran, China, Turkey, Kuwait, Korea, Japan, Germany and USA touring the stadium. History Early years The stadium was built before the partition of British Raj, as a piece of barren land surrounded by a 12 ft wall. In 1956, in a match featuring Keamari Union against Baloch XI, the pavilion collapsed with close to 100 people getting injured. The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ur, پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ) is a Pakistani professional league for men's association football clubs. The Pakistan Football Federation League ( ur, پاکستان فٹ بال فیڈریشن لیگ ; abbreviated: PFFL), also known as the 'B' Division League, is a Pakistani semi-professional league for men's association football departments and clubs which are in the Pakistan football league system, and is the country's second-tier semi-professional football competition. Contested by 18 departments and clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the top-tier Pakistan Premier League. 2013 National Football Challenge Cup
The 2013 National Football Challenge Cup was the 23rd season of National Challenge Cup, the main cup competition in Pakistani football. A total of 16 clubs entered the competition, the tournament commenced on 15 May 2018. Bahawalpur were the hosts for the tournament, thus earning DFA Bahawalpur a spot in the tournament, courtesy of being the hosts. Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, they were knocked out in quarter finals, losing 5–4 on penalties to the eventual winners National Bank. National Bank won the tournament, defeating Karachi Electric Supply Corporation 1–0 in the finals. This was the first major trophy for National Bank since 1993, when they won the National Challenge Cup that year.
