National Bank of Egypt Sporting Club ( ar, نادي البنك الأهلي المصري الرياضي), is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo, Egypt. The club is related to the National Bank of Egypt which was founded in June 1898. National Bank of Egypt SC is mainly known for its professional football team, which currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League, the highest league in the Egyptian football league system. Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Hassan Yassin ( ar, الشيخ أحمد إسماعيل حسن ياسين; 1 January 1937 – 22 March 2004) was a Palestinian politician and imam who founded Hamas, a militant Islamist and Palestinian nationalist organization in the Gaza Strip, in 1987. He served as the organization's spiritual leader after its founding. Yassin, a quadriplegic who was nearly blind, had been reliant on a wheelchair due to a sporting accident at the age of 12. In 2004, he was killed when an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile at him as he was being wheeled from Fajr prayer in Gaza City.
