''Natalie'' is the eponymous debut album by American R&B singer-songwriter Natalie Alvarado, released by Universal Records on May 17, 2005. The album debuted on the ''Billboard'' Top 200 albums chart at No. 16, selling over 50,000 copies in its first week. The album features Natalie's debut single " Goin' Crazy", which peaked at No. 13 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart. "Goin' Crazy" also reached No. 1 in several other major markets. Her follow-up single, "Energy", which features Baby Bash, was a minor hit, peaking at No. 66 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in the summer of 2005; no video was produced for the single. Natalie Nicole Alvarado (born September 2, 1979), better known simply as Natalie, is an American R&B singer and songwriter. Biography After her high school years, she chose to study criminal justice. She was previously a cheerleader for the Houston Rockets NBA team and backup dancer for various R&B and rap artists from Houston, Texas. During her stint as a cheerleader, she was also working on her lyrical skills and even added rapping to her dance performances. Charles Chavez, founder of Latium Entertainment and producer of such artists as Baby Bash, Frankie J, and Chamillionaire, believed that she would have potential as a successful musical artist and introduced her to producers Happy Perez and Play N Skillz. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. Ronald Ray Bryant (born October 18, 1969), better known by his stage name Baby Bash (formerly Baby Beesh), is an American rapper. From 1995 until 1998, as part of Dope House Records, after which he changed the last part of his stage name to "Bash." ''Everything New'', released September 19, 2006, is the second and final studio album by R&B singer Natalie Alvarado. It is the follow-up to Natalie's debut album ''Natalie''. The album featured productions from Happy Perez, with whom she worked on her debut, but also worked with other producers, like Bloodshy & Avant and Play N Skillz. The album's lead single was intended to be "Love You So", which was even released as a single on iTunes a month before the album's release, but the first single sent to radio from '' Everything New '' was "What You Gonna Do?", which features hip-hop tinges from Bun B, but failed to gain much attention. Due to the record label's lack of promotion for the album, and lack of radio support for the singles, '' Everything New '' failed to chart on the Billboard 200 albums chart, being two copies short of debuting at #200. Soluna was a music group consisting of four members, all of Hispanic descent – Aurora Rodriguez, America Olivo, Jessica Castellanos, and Christina "T" López. The group's name is the combination the Spanish words for sun ("sol") and moon ("luna"). Both Lopez and Castellanos are pursuing primarily solo music careers, and Olivo is developing an acting resume, including a recent role on ''General Hospital''.
