''Everything New'', released September 19, 2006, is the second and final studio album by R&B singer Natalie Alvarado. It is the follow-up to Natalie's debut album ''Natalie''. The album featured productions from Happy Perez, with whom she worked on her debut, but also worked with other producers, like Bloodshy & Avant and Play N Skillz. The album's lead single was intended to be "Love You So", which was even released as a single on iTunes a month before the album's release, but the first single sent to radio from '' Everything New '' was "What You Gonna Do?", which features hip-hop tinges from Bun B, but failed to gain much attention. Due to the record label's lack of promotion for the album, and lack of radio support for the singles, '' Everything New '' failed to chart on the Billboard 200 albums chart, being two copies short of debuting at #200. Natalie Nicole Alvarado (born September 2, 1979), better known simply as Natalie, is an American R&B singer and songwriter. Biography After her high school years, she chose to study criminal justice. She was previously a cheerleader for the Houston Rockets NBA team and backup dancer for various R&B and rap artists from Houston, Texas. During her stint as a cheerleader, she was also working on her lyrical skills and even added rapping to her dance performances. Charles Chavez, founder of Latium Entertainment and producer of such artists as Baby Bash, Frankie J, and Chamillionaire, believed that she would have potential as a successful musical artist and introduced her to producers Happy Perez and Play N Skillz. Under Latium, she was initially signed as a rapper but later focused on singing, which she had frequently done for hooks on songs. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. The genre features a distinctive record production style, drum machine-backed rhythms, pitch corrected vocals, and a smooth, lush style of vocal arrangement. Bloodshy & Avant are a Swedish songwriting and production duo consisting of Christian "Bloodshy" Karlsson and Pontus "Avant" Winnberg. They have worked with many prominent artists, including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Ms. Dynamite, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Kelis, Girls' Generation, Christina Milian, Sky Ferreira, Hikaru Utada and BoA. Bernard James Freeman (born March 19, 1973), known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK, Bun B has released five solo albums, including 2010's ''Trill OG'', which received the rare 5-mic rating from ''The Source''. He is also a guest lecturer at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas.
