Nasser Al-Sane
Nasser Al-Sane is a former member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the third district. Born in 1955, Al-Sane obtained a PhD in Business Administration before being elected to the National Assembly in 1992. While political parties are illegal in Kuwait, Al-Sane affiliates with the Islamist Hadas party. Opposes Project Kuwait Project Kuwait is a $7 billion, 25-year plan, first formulated in 1997 by the SPC, to increase the country's oil production (and to help compensate for declines at the mature Burgan field), with the help of international oil companies. In particular, Kuwait aims to increase output at five northern oil fields (Abdali, Bahra, Ratqa, Raudhatain, and Sabriya) from their current rate of around to within three years. Al-Sane opposes Project Kuwait and allowing foreign oil companies into Kuwait. The National Assembly ( ar, مجلس الأمة) is the unicameral legislature of Kuwait. The National Assembly meets in Kuwait City. Political parties are illegal in Kuwait, candidates run as independents. The National Assembly is made up of 50 elected members and 16 appointed government ministers (ex officio members). Overview The National Assembly is the legislature in Kuwait, established in 1963. Ahmad Al-Saadoun
Ahmed Abdulaziz al-Sadoun ( ar, أحمد عبدالعزيز السعدون) (born 1934) is the Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly from October 2022. He was previously the speaker from 1985 to 1999 and from February 2012 until it was declared that the February 2012 elections were invalid. He is the leader of the Popular Action Bloc in the Assembly and served for eight terms. He represented the third district. Al-Sadoun worked in the ministry of communication before being elected to the National Assembly in 1975. Al-Sadoun is a real estate executive. Waleed Al-Tabatabaie (Arabic: وليد الطبطبائي) was a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, who represented the third district. Born on 4 April 1964, Al-Tabtabaie obtained a PhD in Islamic studies from Al-Azhar and was an assistant professor at Kuwait University before being elected to the National Assembly in 1996.
