Nassar Mahmoud Nassar ( ar, نصار محمود نصار, ; born 1 January 1992) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a right-back for club Ansar and the Lebanon national team. Club career In summer 2016, Nassar joined Ansar. On 2 February 2019, his contract was renewed for three years. On 6 February, Nassar suffered an ACL injury during a match against Tripoli. He recovered in August. On 14 August 2021, Ansar renewed his contract for three years. International career Nassar's first international game for Lebanon came as a starter against Equatorial Guinea on 11 October 2016, playing the whole 90 minutes in a 0–0 home draw. In December 2018, Nassar Nassar was called up for the preliminary squad in view of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. However, he was forced to abandon the group early due to injury. Al Ansar Football Club ( ar, نادي الأنصار الرياضي, lit=The Supporters Sporting Club) is a Association football, football club based in Tariq El Jdideh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Formed in 1951, the club did not win its first Lebanese Premier League until 1988. They went on to set a world record by winning the league 11 seasons in a row. Ansar is the most successful club in the country, having won the Lebanese Premier League 14 times and the Lebanese FA Cup 15 times. The Lebanese First Division ( ar, الدوري اللبناني الدرجة الأولى), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. There are 12 teams competing in the league, which operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Lebanese Second Division. The league's first season began in May 1934, with Nahda winning the first title. The most successful club in the league is Ansar, with 14 league titles; they set a Guinness World Record by winning 11 consecutive league titles between 1988 and 1999. The Al-Manar Football Festival () was an event organised by the Al-Manar television station between the 1996–97 and 2018–19 seasons in order to award players, managers, referees and teams who were considered to have performed the best over the previous Lebanese Premier League season. Founded in 1996 as the Super League Cup, the first edition was contested by the top five finishers of the league and the Lebanese FA Cup winners. The most successful club in the competition is Nejmeh with 12 titles, followed by Ahed with six. 2021 Lebanese Super Cup
The 2021 Lebanese Super Cup was the 21st Lebanese Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Lebanese Premier League and Lebanese FA Cup. As Ansar won both competitions in 2021, their opponents were the 2020–21 league runners-up Nejmeh. The match was played at the Fouad Chehab Stadium on 7 August 2021. Ansar won their sixth title, defeating rivals Nejmeh on penalties, following a 2–2 draw after regular time. Match Summary Mahdi Zein of Nejmeh opened the scoring in the 39th minute, assisted by Khalil Bader. In the 42nd minute, Nejmeh were close to doubling the lead through a free kick by Khaled Takaji, which was saved by Ansar's goalkeeper Nazih Assaad. In the second half, despite Ansar coming close to scoring the equalizer, Nejmeh made it 2–0 in the 59th minute thanks to Takaji's goal. The Lebanese Super Cup () is Lebanese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Lebanese Premier League season and the holders of the Lebanese FA Cup. The 2020–21 Lebanese FA Cup was the 48th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the round of 16 on 28 April 2021, and ended on 12 May with the final. Lebanese Premier League side Ahed were the defending champions, having won the 2018–19 edition; they lost to finalists Nejmeh in the quarter-finals.
