''Nashid al-Amal'' ( ar, نشيد الأمل, lit. “Song of Hope”) is an Egypt, Egyptian film starring Umm Kulthum. It ran for 125 minutes and was released on January 11, 1937. The film marks the directorial debut of Ahmed Badrakhan. Synopsis Ismail divorces his wife Amal, abandoning her and their daughter Salwa. Destiny leads her to the doctor Assem, Salwa’s pediatrician, who notices Amal’s singing talent and helps her build a career. This prompts Amal’s opportunist ex-husband to try and win her back. Riad Mohamed El Sunbati ( arz, رياض محمد السنباطي), also written as Riad Sonbati or Riadh Sonbati (30 November 1906 – 10 September 1981) was a 20th-century Egyptian composer and musician who was considered an icon of Egyptian Music. Abdulaziz ( ota, عبد العزيز, ʿAbdü'l-ʿAzîz; tr, Abdülaziz; 8 February 18304 June 1876) was the 32nd Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and reigned from 25 June 1861 to 30 May 1876, when he was overthrown in a government coup. Stephan Rosti ( arz, استفان روستى ) (16 November 1891 – 22 May 1964) was an Egyptian actor and film director who lived and worked in Egypt. Personal Rosti's mother was an Italian Egyptian dancer. She was performing in Egypt when she met Rosti's father, the Austrian ambassador to Cairo. Rosti's mother was enamoured with Egypt to the point that when it was time for the diplomat father to terminate his political assignment (in Cairo) and return to his country, she refused to travel with him and decided to remain in Egypt with her son.
