Ahmed Badrakhan
Ahmed Badrakhan (18 September 1909 – 26 August 1969) was an Egyptian film director and screenwriter of Kurdish origin. He directed 41 films between 1936 and 1968. He is famous for his 1952 romantic drama '' A Night of Love'' starring Mahmoud Almeleji and Mariam Fakhr Eddine. Ali Badrakhan (born April 25, 1946) is an Egyptian film director and screenwriter, the son of the director Ahmed Badrakhan. He worked as assistant to Fatin Abdel Wahab in ''Land of Hypocrisy'' in 1968, and with Youssef Chahine in the films ''Selection'' in 1971 and '' The Sparrow'' in 1974; his first movie was ''The Love That Was'' (1973) by Soad Hosny. ''A Night of Love'' ( ar, Lailat gharam) is a 1951 Egyptian film directed by Ahmed Badrakhan and starring Mahmoud El-Meliguy. It was entered into the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. The film was written by Saleh Gawdat and Mohamed Abdelhalim Abdallah, and also stars Zeinab Sedky, Zouzou Nabil, Zouzou Hamdi El Hakim, Sanaa Samih, Sayed Abu Bakr, and Mohamed Abdel Muttalib. Mariam Fakhr Eddine
Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine ( ar, مريم محمد فخر الدين , 8 September 1933 – 3 November 2014) was an Egyptian film and television actress, and was the second wife of prominent filmmaker Mahmoud Zulfikar (1914-1970). She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen" ( arz, حسناء الشاشة). Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine ''Image''. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulfikar, her future husband.
