Nansha Port Expressway
The Nansha Port Expressway () is a truck transportation route in Guangzhou connecting Nansha District to other areas within the Pearl River Delta region. It is 72 km in length and cost ¥6.509 billion RMB. Geography The Nansha Port Expressway starts from Longxue Island to Guangzhou Nansha District. The expressway is also in the vicinity of major roads such as Humen highways to Dongguan, Beijing-Zhuhai East Line and other expressways. Economy The expressway is a critical transport route which serves Port of Guangzhou's Nansha port, Nansha development zone and the metropolitan industrial areas of Guangzhou and to Dongguan. Haizhu
Haizhu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. Geography Haizhu District is located in the southern part of Guangzhou city. After the adjustment of Guangzhou's administrative regional planning in 2005, the northern part of Haizhu District is adjacent to Liwan District, Yuexiu District and Tianhe District across the Pearl River, and the eastern, western and southern parts are adjacent to Huangpu District, Liwan District and Panyu District respectively. Huangpu Military Academy
The Republic of China Military Academy () is the service academy for the army of the Republic of China, located in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung. Previously known as the the military academy produced commanders who fought in many of China's conflicts in the 20th century, notably the Northern Expedition, the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War. The military academy was officially opened on May 1, 1924, under the Kuomintang (KMT), but the first lessons began on June 16, 1924. The inauguration was on Changzhou Island offshore from the Whampoa (Huangpu) dock in Guangzhou, thus earning its name. Shunde District
Shunde District, also known as Shuntak, is a District (PRC), district of the city of Foshan, Guangdong province, located in the Pearl River Delta. It had a population of 2,464,784 as of the 2010 census. Once a traditional agricultural county, it has become one of the most affluent counties in Guangdong and mainland China. 2010 Asian Games
The 2010 Asian Games (), officially known as the XVI Asian Games () and also known as Guangzhou 2010 (), was a regional multi-sport event celebrated from November 12 to November 27, 2010 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, although several events commenced earlier on November 7, 2010. It was the second time China had hosted the Asian Games, with the first one being Asian Games 1990 hosted in Beijing. Guangzhou's three neighboring cities, Dongguan, Foshan and Shanwei co-hosted the Games. Premier Wen Jiabao opened the Games along the Pearl River in Haixinsha Island. A total of 53 venues were used to host the events, including 11 constructed for use at the Games. Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center (HEMC), Guangzhou University Town or Guangzhou University City () is an area featured by higher education institutions, located on Xiaoguwei Island () in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China.
