Nankang River
The Nankang River (), also called the Nanhong River, is a river that flows through Nantou County, Taiwan. Its main tributary is the Mei River. It is an important tributary for the Dadu River. It flows through Taichung City for 35 km. Nantou County
Nantou County (; Hokkien POJ: ''Lâm-tâu-koān''; Hakka PFS: ''Nàm-thèu-yen'') is the second largest county of Taiwan by area, located in the central part of the country. It is also the only non-coastal county in Taiwan. Its name derives from the Hoanya Taiwanese aboriginal word ''Ramtau''. Puli Township () is an urban township in Nantou County, Taiwan. The township is located within the Puli Basin. It is the geographic center of Taiwan. Name In the 19th century the city was known as Posia () or Po-li-sia (). The Atayal name of the settlement was Sabaha Bakalas, meaning "house of stars".
