Nangarhar Leopards
The Nangarhar Leopards ( ps, ''Da Nangarhār Pṛāngān'') are a franchise cricket team which participates in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL). They joined the APL as one of its original members in 2018. The Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting was the captain for the inaugural session and Indian coach Venkatesh Prasad was appointed as the head coach of the team. The Afghanistan Premier League (APL) ( ps, ; fa, ), officially Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a Twenty20 cricket franchise tournament run by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), held in the United Arab Emirates. The first edition of the tournament took place between 5 and 21 October 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with up to forty overseas players involved. Anton Paul Devcich (born 28 September 1985) is a New Zealand former international cricketer, who played in limited over internationals. A left-handed batsman who occasionally bowls left-arm orthodox spin, at the domestic level he plays for Northern Districts. Mitchell John McClenaghan (born 11 June 1986) is a New Zealand international cricketer who plays limited over internationals for New Zealand. Domestically, he plays for Otago in New Zealand. Mushfiqur Rahim ( bn, মুশফিকুর রহিম; born 9 May 1987) is a Bangladeshi cricketer and the former captain and vice-captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team. Fazal Niazai (born 1 February 1990) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in September 2019. Mohammad Hafeez ( Punjabi and ur, ; born 17 October 1980) is a former Pakistani international cricketer.
