Ānanda (Hindu Philosophy)
''Ānanda'' (Sanskrit: आनन्द) literally means bliss or happiness. In the Hindu Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad gita, ānanda signifies eternal bliss which accompanies the ending of the rebirth cycle. Those who renounce the fruits of their actions and submit themselves completely to the divine will, arrive at the final termination of the cyclical life process (''saṃsāra'') to enjoy eternal bliss (''ānanda'') in perfect union with the godhead. Maharaja Sir Manindra Chandra Nandy (29 May 1860 – 12 November 1929) was the Maharaja of Cossimbazar Raj from 1898 to 1929, a philanthropist and reformist during the period of Bengal Renaissance. Family Manindra Chandra Nandy was born on 29 May 1860 at Shyambazar in North Kolkata in present-day West Bengal, India. His ancestral house was at Shyambazar, North Kolkata. Ramacharitam
The ''Ramacharitam'' is a Sanskrit epic poem written in ''Arya metre'' by Sandhyakar Nandi (c. 1084 - 1155 CE) during Pala Empire. This work simultaneously narrates the story of the Ramayana and the Pala king Ramapala. Manuscripts A palm-leaf manuscript was discovered by Haraprasad Shastri from Nepal and published in 1910 by the Asiatic Society, Kolkata. Translations in English and Bangla were published in 1939 and 1953, respectively. Author Sandhyakar Nandi was patronaged by Madanapala and his biographical details are retrieved from the ''Kaviprashasti'' (of 20 couplets) appended at the end. Sampath Nandi (born 20 June 1980) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works primarily in Telugu cinema. Career After completing his bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the V.L. College of Pharmacy, Nandi assisted Posani Krishna Murali for about three years. In the meantime he used to make ad-films in Mumbai and Bengaluru. In 2010, Nandi made his directorial debut with ''Yemaindi Ee Vela'', starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal. Rasikendra Nath Nandi ( bn, রসিকেন্দ্র নাথ নন্দী) (also known as Rasik Nandi) a Vaishnav scholar, a social reformer and a zamindar was born in the village named Bhat-bera in district Pabna of undivided Bengal (now in Sirajganj District, Bangladesh) in 1882. As a serious scholar of Vaishnavism, he wrote several manuscripts explaining the Vaishnavism in simple Sanskrit. Pritish Nandy (born 15 January 1951) is an Indian poet, painter, journalist, parliamentarian, media and television personality, animal activist and maker of films, TV and streaming content.
