Nancy Thompson (born 1947) is a former Nebraska state senator from Papillion, Nebraska in the Nebraska Legislature. __NOTOC__ Personal life She was born October 26, 1947, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and graduated from Washington High School in 1965. In 1969 she graduated from Creighton University and got her master's there in 1982. She is a current or former member of the board of directors for United Way of the Midlands, Great Plains Girl Scouts Council, Indian-Chicano Health Center, St. Columbkille Education Foundation, a member of the Greater Omaha Private Industry Council, League of Women Voters, and Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation board of trustees. 2004 Election Thompson ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 2004, losing to incumbent Rep. Lee Raymond Terry (born January 29, 1962) is a former American politician and a senior law firm adviser. From 1999 to 2015, he served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for as a member of the Republican Party. Since 2015, Terry reactivated his law license and is a senior adviser to the government relations and public group for the international law firm Kelley Drye & Warren. Tim Gay (born July 9, 1964) is an American politician and broker who served in the Nebraska Legislature from 2007 to 2011, representing the 14th legislative district of Nebraska. Early life and education Gay was born in Columbus, Nebraska on July 9, 1964. He graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science. Career Prior to entering politics, Gay worked as a grain broker for Commodity Traders Incorporated from 1987 to 1994. He served a similar position for Switzer Trading Company from 1994 to 1999. In 1999, Gay became the vice president of investment services with American National Bank, serving in that capacity both during and after his time in the Nebraska Legislature. Papillion is a city in Sarpy County in the state of Nebraska, United States. Designated as the county seat, it developed as an 1870s railroad town and suburb of Omaha.
