Nanae, Hokkaido
is a town located in Oshima Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. In April 2017, the town had an estimated population of 28,514, with 13,639 households, and a density of 130 persons per km2. The total area is 216.61 km2. Geography Nanae is at the southern end of the Oshima Peninsula, about 16 km away from Hakodate. Hokkaido
is Japan's second largest island and comprises the largest and northernmost prefecture, making up its own region. The Tsugaru Strait separates Hokkaidō from Honshu; the two islands are connected by the undersea railway Seikan Tunnel.
