''Nalla Thambi'' is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by S. P. Muthuraman and produced by AVM Productions, starring Karthik and Radha. It was released on 14 January 1985. Plot Raja is a young man who has completed his MBA from the United States. On returning home, he discovers that all the young women in the city are eagerly waiting in his house, for him to marry one among them. However, though all the girls fail to impress Raja, Seetha manages to win the heart of his father, Chandrashekhar, who promises her in marriage to him. Overjoyed, Seetha gears up for the wedding, but has crooked plans in her heart. Raja discovers that she is not really an admirable person, but is forced to marry her because of his father's coercing. However, his mother secretly helps him elope from home and eventually the wedding is called off. Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle. He also worked as a lyricist in the Tamil cinema industry. He started producing films under his production banner named P. A. Arts. His son Subbu Panchu Arunachalam is an actor and dubbing artist in the Tamil film industry. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
