Naked Beggars
Naked Beggars are an American glam metal band featuring former Cinderella (band), Cinderella bassist Eric Brittingham. The band was founded in 1998 by Brittingham's wife Inga along with Kris Casamento. Drummer Lisa Rav joined the group in September 2006; Dustin Carpenter has been the band's drummer since 2008. Naked Beggars have released two albums thus far: a self-titled debut in 2003, and the follow-up ''Spit It Out'' in 2005. In April 2007, Jeff LaBar and his wife parted ways with Naked Beggars. LaBar died on July 14, 2021. Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. Rex, the New York Dolls, and David Bowie (and to a lesser extent, the punk and new wave movements taking place concurrently in New York City) were fused with the decidedly more heavy metal leaning and theatrical acts such as Alice Cooper and Kiss. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Cinderella (band)
Cinderella was an American Rock music, rock band formed in 1983 in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum studio albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation and popularity. Cinderella initially had a glam metal sound throughout the late 1980s before shifting into a more blues rock-based sound during the early to mid 1990s. By the mid-1990s, the band's fame declined precipitously due to personal setbacks, break-ups, and changes in the American music industry. After a brief hiatus, Cinderella reunited in 1996 and continued to perform live, but never released any studio material after their 1994 album ''Still Climbing (Cinderella album), Still Climbing''. Eric Brittingham
Eric Brittingham (born May 8, 1960) is an American bass guitarist best known for playing in the band Cinderella (band), Cinderella. Early life Brittingham was born in Salisbury, Maryland. Career In 1983, Brittingham along with guitarist Tom Keifer founded the Rock music, rock band Cinderella in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. Cinderella was signed to their first contract with Polygram in 1985 when they were seen performing at the Empire Rock Club in Philadelphia by Jon Bon Jovi who referred them to his agent. Brittingham was also in a side-band, Naked Beggars, with his (ex)wife Inga and Cinderella bandmate Jeff LaBar. Jeffrey Philip LaBar (March 18, 1963 – July 14, 2021) was an American guitarist in the glam metal band Cinderella (band), Cinderella, in which he replaced original guitarist Michael Schermick. During Cinderella's temporary break-up in the mid-1990s, LaBar supported himself by running a pizza shop with his brother and by doing assorted construction jobs. Career Cinderella LaBar was also in a side band with Cinderella (band), Cinderella bandmate Eric Brittingham called Naked Beggars.
