Najeeb Tarakai
Najeeb Tarakai (2 February 19916 October 2020) was an Afghan cricketer who played international cricket for the Afghanistan team. He played in twelve Twenty20 International matches and a One Day International fixture. Tarakai made his international debut at the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament in Bangladesh. In domestic cricket, he scored more than 2,000 runs in first-class matches. He was also part of the Afghan team that won the silver medal in the cricket tournament at the 2014 Asian Games. Domestic career Tarakai made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup against Rawalpindi Rams. He played in the Cheetahs two other fixtures in that competition, against Faisalabad Wolves and Multan Tigers. Jalalabad
Jalalabad (; Dari/ ps, جلالآباد, ) is the fifth-largest city of Afghanistan. 2014 ICC World Twenty20
The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 was the fifth ICC World Twenty20 competition, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament, that took place in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April 2014. It was played in three cities — Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet. The International Cricket Council announced Bangladesh as host in 2010. It was the second consecutive time that an Asian country is hosting this event, as Sri Lanka hosted the previous tournament in 2012. 2019 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament
The 2019 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament was an edition of the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, a cricket tournament in Afghanistan. It was the third edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. The tournament was split into two phases, with the first half of the competition taking place in April and May 2019, and the second half taking place during November and December 2019. Six regional teams competed in the tournament, with Band-e-Amir Region being the defending champions. The first round of the tournament started on 4 April 2019 and finished on 2 May 2019. Following the conclusion of the first round of fixtures, Speen Ghar Region were leading the tournament, finishing three points ahead of Amo Region. Kabul Region did not take part in the second round of matches in the tournament. 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament
The 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament was an edition of the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, a cricket tournament in Afghanistan. It was the second edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. The tournament started on 1 March 2018 and finished on 12 May 2018. Six regional teams, one more than the previous tournament, competed in a round-robin format with the top two teams in the group progressing to the final. Band-e-Amir Region were the defending champions. In the round seven fixture between Kabul Region and Boost Region, Kabul batsman Shafiqullah scored the fastest double century in first-class cricket. He scored 200 not out from 89 balls, and also scored the most sixes in a first-class match, with 24. The final was played between Amo Region and Band-e-Amir Region. Speenghar Tigers ( ps, سپين غر زمريان ''Spīn Ghar Zmaryān'') or Speenghar Region (alternative spelling: Spin Ghar) is one of eight regional first-class cricket teams in Afghanistan. The 2018–19 Afghanistan Premier League (also known as Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League T20 2018) was the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League Twenty20 (T20) franchise cricket tournament, held in the United Arab Emirates. It took place between 5 and 21 October 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In September 2018, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that they would not give No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the active Pakistani players. Batting Average (cricket)
In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism).
