Naghar Kalai
Naghar is a small village located in the Bageshwar district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about from its district headquarters and is located on the bank of the Pungar River in the Pungar Valley (or Dugpatti). Bageshwar
Bageshwar ( Kumaoni: ''Bāgshyār'') is a town and a municipal board in Bageshwar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is located at a distance of 470 km from the National Capital New Delhi and 332 km from the State Capital Dehradun. Bageshwar is known for its scenic environment, glaciers, rivers and temples. It is also the administrative headquarters of Bageshwar district. Situated on the confluence of Saryu and Gomati rivers, Bageshwar is surrounded by the mountains of Bhileshwar and Nileshwar to its east and west and by the Suraj Kund in the north and Agni Kund in the south. Bageshwar was a major trade mart between Tibet and Kumaun, and was frequented by the Bhotia traders, who bartered Tibetan wares, wool, salt and Borax in exchange for Carpets and other local produces in Bageshwar. Kanda, Uttarakhand
Kanda is a small historic, scenic town and tehsil in Bageshwar district, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. History Kanda was ruled by the Katyuri Kings from the 7th to the 13th century. Upon the disintegration of the Katyuris in 13th century, Kanda came under the rule of Mankoti kings of Gangoli. In the 16th century, the Chand king, Balo Kalyan Chand, invaded Mankot, the seat of Mankoti kings, and annexed Gangoli to his kingdom, the Kumaon Kingdom. Geography Kanda is located east of the district headquarters, the city of Bageshwar, and to the northwest of the city of Pithoragarh. Its surrounding landscape is characterized by mountains, terraced fields, and organic tea platforms.
