Nadir Nabiyev ( az, Nadir Nəbiyev, born on 18 July 1980 in Tovuz, Azerbaijan) is a retired Azerbaijani football player who played striker for the Azerbaijan national team and who last played for Azerbaijan Premier League club Turan Tovuz. Playing career Club International Nabiyev earned 27 caps for Azerbaijan over the four-year he played for the national team, scoring 3 times. His debut came in July 2002 in a friendly against Estonia. His first two goals for Azerbaijan came on 14 December 2003 against the United Arab Emirates. Tovuz, Azerbaijan
Tovuz () is a city and the capital of the Tovuz District of Azerbaijan. It's famous for its wine-making, and it also has several archaeological sites. Tovuz region was established on August 8, 1930. The district is one of the largest agricultural districts in the country, its area is 1942 sq. km, and its population is 177.2 thousand people as of 01.01.2020. 2009–10 Azerbaijan Premier League
The 2009–10 Azerbaijan Premier League was the eighteenth season of top-tier football in Azerbaijan. It began on 14 August 2009 and finished in May 2010. FK Baku were the defending champions. The league was competed in two stages. The first stage consisted of a regular home-and-away round-robin schedule for a total of 22 matches per team. The competition then split into two halves. However, each team took over to the respective group only records earned against the remaining 5 teams in their second round group. The teams ranked first through sixth played out the championship and the European spots while the bottom six teams had to avoid one of the two relegation places. Teams MOIK Baku and Bakili Baku were relegated after finishing the 2008–09 season in the bottom two places. The 2008–09 Azerbaijan Premier League is the 17th season of Azerbaijan Premier League, the Azerbaijani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Inter Baku were the defending champions, having won the previous season. Teams FK Gänclärbirliyi Sumqayit and ABN Bärdä were relegated after finishing the previous season in 13th and 14th place, respectively. They were replaced by the champions of the two groups in the Azerbaijan First Division, Bakılı Baku and MOIK Baku. On 8 July 2008, FK Masallı withdrew their participation from the league, citing competitional and financial problems as reasons. 2006–07 Azerbaijan Premier League was the fifteenth season of top-tier football in Azerbaijan. The season started with 14 teams, but ended with 13 after FK Gäncä were excluded. The 2001-02 Azerbaijan Top League was contested by twelve clubs. In the 2nd round of the Championship, the championship was suspended due to the conflict between the clubs and the AFFA and clubs were not allowed to the European club tournaments. The clubs, which had stopped racing, continued their championship with the initiative of the Organizing Committee.
