Nadia Hashem
Nadia Hashem (died 12 February 2023) was a Jordanian journalist and politician who served as minister of state for women's affairs from May 2012 to October 2012. She was the first woman state minister for women's affairs of Jordan. Education Hashem held a bachelor's degree in mathematics, which she received from Middlesex University. Career Hashem worked as a journalist for ''Al Ra'i (Jordanian newspaper), Al Ra'i''. She was the president of the National Society for Enhancement of Freedom and Democracy, a society supporting democratic participation. Hashem was appointed minister of state for women's affairs to the second cabinet of Fayez Tarawneh, which was formed on 2 May 2012. The office held by Hashem was established with her appointment. Hashem was not appointed to the next cabinet formed by Abdullah Ensour on 11 October 2012. The office was abolished, too. King Abdullah II
Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein ( ar, عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين , translit=ʿAbd Allāh aṯ-ṯānī ibn al-Ḥusayn; born 30 January 1962) is King of Jordan, having ascended the throne on 7 February 1999. He is a member of the Hashemite dynasty, who have been the reigning royal family of Jordan since 1921, and is considered a 41st-generation direct descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Abdullah was born in Amman as the first child of King Hussein and his second wife, Princess Muna. As the king's eldest son, Abdullah was heir apparent until Hussein transferred the title to Abdullah's uncle, Prince Hassan, in 1965. Fayez Tarawneh
Fayez Tarawneh ( ar, فايز الطراونة; '; 1 May 1949 – 15 December 2021) was a Jordanian independent politician, who served twice as the 31st Prime Minister of Jordan, and also as Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court. Early life and education Tarawneh was born on 1 May 1949. He received a bachelor's degree in economy from the University of Jordan. He also obtained a master's degree in 1974 and a PhD in 1980 in economics, both from the University of Southern California. Career Tarawneh was Jordanian ambassador to the United States from 1993 until 1997, and headed the Jordanian delegation that was in charge of peace negotiations with Israel in 1994. Then he was appointed Prime Minister and served in this post from 20 August 1998 to 4 March 1999, the last Prime Minister under King Hussein, who died in February 1999. Abdullah Ensour ( ; ar, عبد الله النسور '; born 20 January 1939) is a Jordanian economist who served as the 40th Prime Minister of Jordan between October 2012 and May 2016.
