Abdullah Ensour
Abdullah Ensour ( ; ar, عبد الله النسور '; born 20 January 1939) is a Jordanian economist who served as the 40th Prime Minister of Jordan between October 2012 and May 2016. A veteran politician, he has held various cabinet positions in Jordanian government in addition to being prime minister. Early life Ensour was born in Salt. He studied at the American University of Beirut where he obtained his bachelor's degree in statistics. He then continued to get his master's degree in institutions management, at the University of Michigan in the United States. The prime minister of Jordan is the head of government of the Jordan, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The prime minister is appointed by the List of kings of Jordan, king of Jordan, who is then free to form his own Cabinet of Jordan, Cabinet. Hani Fawzi Mulki (also known as Hani Mulki; ar, هاني الملقي; '; born 15 October 1951) is a Jordanian politician that held several ministerial and diplomatic positions, and he was Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority before his designation as the 41st Prime Minister of Jordan by King Abdullah II and approval by the House of Representatives on 29 May 2016. The prime minister of Jordan, Abdullah Ensour, formed his second cabinet in March 2013. The new cabinet was sworn in before King Abdullah II on 30 March 2013. On 23 April 2013, the parliament approved the cabinet with 83 votes in favor and 65 votes against. It was the 77th government of Jordan. In addition, it was the thirteenth government formed during the reign of King Abdullah who ascended to the throne in 1999. Structure The cabinet was initially made up of 19 members. The number of portfolios in the first cabinet of Ensour was 21. Of the cabinet members excluding Ensour, four retained their previous posts in the first cabinet. The Order of the Star of Jordan (Wisam al-Kawkab al-Urduni) or The Order of Hussein ibn Ali (Wisam al-Hussein ibn Ali) is an award and military decoration of the sovereign state of Jordan and is awarded for military or civil merit.
