Nabil Haddad
Nabil Haddad is a priest in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church and a leading figure among Arab Christians in Jordan. He is the founder and current director of the Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Center (JICRC) in Amman, Jordan. Biography Nabil Haddad was born in a town near Irbid, Jordan. For years, Father Nabil Haddad has worked to promote interfaith harmony between Muslims and Christians in Jordan and around the world. Father Nabil Haddad has worked to implement the ideas behind World Interfaith Harmony Week, first proposed by King Abdullah II of Jordan in an address to the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 23, 2010. Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Center
The Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Center (or JICRC) is a non-governmental organization for promoting peaceful religious coexistence based out of Amman, Jordan. It focuses on fostering interfaith dialogue on a grassroots level and creating interreligious harmony. The JICRC is currently run by its founder and director, Father Nabil Haddad. History Father Nabil Haddad established the JICRC in 2003. He founded the center on what he described as “the belief that an approach of togetherness is needed to expand upon the conviction that all values, morals, and religions guide us to peace. Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein ( ar, عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين , translit=ʿAbd Allāh aṯ-ṯānī ibn al-Ḥusayn; born 30 January 1962) is King of Jordan, having ascended the throne on 7 February 1999.
