Naaman ( he, נַעֲמָן ''Naʿămān'', "pleasantness") the Aramean was a commander of the armies of Ben-Hadad II, the king of Aram-Damascus, in the time of Joram, king of Israel. According to the Bible, Naaman was a commander of the army of Syria. He was a good commander and was held in favor because of the victory that God brought him. Yet Naaman was a leper. Naaman's wife had a servant girl from Israel who said that a prophet there would be able to heal him. Naaman tells his lord this and he is sent to Israel with a letter to the king. The king of Israel didn't know what to do, yet Elisha (Eliseus) sent a message to the King, advising that the King tell Naaman to come to see him. Elisha then told Naaman to go bathe in the Jordan seven times and he would be clean. Naaman was angry and would have left, but his servant asked him to try it and he was healed. Naaman (also known as Naamans Corner) is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It is 0.5 mile south of the Pennsylvania state line and 7.5 miles northeast of Wilmington. Naaman is located at the intersection of Delaware Route 92 and Ridge Road, northeast of Claymont. Naamans Creek
Naamans Creek (spelled Naaman Creek on federal maps) is a tributary of the Delaware River in northeast New Castle County, Delaware and southeast Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The stream rises near the intersection of Foulk Road and Naamans Creek Road at in Bethel Township, Pennsylvania, flows through Arden, Delaware, and discharges into the Delaware River at in Claymont, Delaware. The creek is believed to be named after a Minqua chief who befriended the Swedish settlers of the area. A large tract of land along the creek was deeded to Governor Johan Risingh by chief Peminacka in 1655. Naaman Forest High School
Naaman Forest High School is a public secondary school located in Garland, Texas, United States. Naaman Forest enrolls students in grades 9- 12 and is a part of the Garland Independent School District. In 2009, the school was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. History NFHS is built on a 62.13-acre site, which backs up to a natural forest preserve. It opened in 1988 with grades 6-9. Naaman Forest dropped a lower grade and added a higher grade until it attained senior high school status in 1992. Naaman Forest today serves 2,600 students, compared with 836 students 20 years ago. Belus River
Na'aman River, ( he, נחל נעמן, Nahal Na'aman; ar, نهر النعامين, Nahr Na'mein), is a stream in northwestern Israel. To the ancient writers Pliny, Tacitus and Josephus it was known as the Belus or Belos River of Phoenicia. The Na'aman River today originates from springs near Ein Afek, primarily Ein Nymphit, and flows through the Zebulun Valley from south to north, before emptying into the Bay of Haifa (formerly Bay of Acre) south of Acre (Akko) on the Mediterranean Sea. History Once known as Belus or Belos, the river is mentioned by Isidore of Seville. According to the legend, this is where glass-making was invented. Tacitus also mentions glassmaking at the Belus. Martin Mussard (; born 25 February 1990), better known by his stage name Naâman (), is a French reggae singer and musician with ska, blues, folk, hip hop and dancehall influences. Career Born in Dieppe, Normandy, he attended the local Catholic private school. Naaman I. Roosevelt (born December 24, 1987) is a former football wide receiver and currently an Offensive Assistant for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He played college football at University at Buffalo.
