Naalai Unathu Naal
''Naalai Unathu Naal'' () is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film, directed by A. Jagannathan and produced by Kalavathi C. The film stars Vijayakanth, Nalini and Jaishankar. The film had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja. The movie is heavily inspired by Agatha Christie's ''And Then There Were None'' (1939), and is a remake of the Hindi movie ''Gumnaam'' (1965). Plot The movie is about a group of lucky draw winners getting stranded in an unknown, unspecified jungle while traveling to the US. Seven people mysteriously win a free vacation. On the way to their destination, the plane has engine trouble and they are left abandoned in a remote seaside location. They find shelter in a large mansion inhabited by a comical butler Angalamma. One by one, they are murdered and the remaining vacationers try to figure out why they were chosen for the trip and what they have in common. Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (born 25 August 1952), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2011 to 2016. Before entering politics Vijayakanth was a successful actor, producer and director. Vijayakanth is also the current DMDK chairman of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. Gopishantha (26 May 1937 – 10 October 2015), better known by her stage name Manorama, also called Aachi, was an Indian actress, playback singer and comedian who had appeared in more than 1000 films and 5000 stage performances and several television series predomninantely in the Tamil language until 2015. Gangai Amaran is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist, writer, film director and actor in Tamil films. Personal life Gangai Amaran was born in Pannaipuram in Theni district, Tamil Nadu in December 1947, as the youngest son of Daniel Ramaswamy and Chinnathayi.
