NTV PLUS
NTV Plus (russian: НТВ Плюс) is the brand name for the Russian digital satellite television service from NTV, transmitted from Eutelsat's W4 satellite at 36.0°E and from Bonum 1 at 56.0°E. Previously a part of Vladimir Gusinsky's media empire ( Media Most holding), now it is included in the Gazprom Media holding. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. Common SDTV refresh rates are 25, 29.97 and 30 frames per second. Both systems use a 4:3 aspect ratio. Standards that support digital SDTV broadcast include DVB, ATSC, and ISDB. 2x2 (russian: Дважды два, Dvazhdy dva, lit=Twice Two) is a Russian television channel. Founded in 1989, it was the first commercial TV station in the Soviet Union (USSR). The channel shut down in 1997, and resumed broadcasting in 2003. Since then, the channel predominantly broadcasts foreign animated TV series, including children's television series, anime and adult animation shows (similar to the American channel Adult Swim). Peretz (rus. Перец, pepper) was a Russian national television channel, broadcasting original entertainment programming along with popular Russian and Western series. It began broadcasting on 7 June 1999 as "Darial TV", rebranded in 2002 to "DTV-Viasat", in 2007 to "DTV" and finally took its current name in 2011. The technical penetration of the channel was 72.5% (in 2010). It broadcasts in over 400 cities in Russia. Domashny ( rus, Домашний, p=dɐˈmaʂnʲɪj, t=Home Channel) is a Russian TV network which targets female viewers aged 25–60. It was launched in March 2005. Domashny was aimed to deliver programming to capture an attractive audience in demand by advertisers, but traditionally under-served by broadcasters. CTC Media created the Domashny brand in 2005 from the ground up. Today, Domashny has a potential audience of 63 million people. REN TV (russian: РЕН ТВ) is a Russian free-to-air television network, was founded on 1 January 1997 by Irena Lesnevskaya and her son, Dmitry Lesnevsky, who had been running REN TV as a production house for other national Russian television channels.
