This is the list of NATO country codes. Up to and including the seventh edition of STANAG 1059, these were two-letter codes (digrams). The eighth edition, promulgated February 19, 2004, and effective April 1, 2004, replaced all codes with new ones based on the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes. Additional codes cover gaps in the ISO coverage, deal with the imaginary countries used for exercise purposes, and designate large geographical groupings and water bodies (ranging from oceans to rivers). It consists of two-letter codes for geographical entities, four-letter codes for subdivisions, and lists the ISO three-letter codes for reference. The digrams match the FIPS 10-4 codes with a few exceptions. The ninth edition's ratification draft was published on July 6, 2005, with a reply deadline of October 6, 2005. The New Technology Telescope or NTT is a 3.58-metre Ritchey–Chrétien telescope operated by the European Southern Observatory. It began operations in 1989. It is located in Chile at the La Silla Observatory and was an early pioneer in the use of active optics. The telescope and its enclosure were built to a revolutionary design for optimal image quality. Characteristics The main mirror of NTT is flexible and its shape is actively adjusted during observations by actuators to preserve the optimal image quality. The secondary mirror position is also actively controlled in three directions. New Technology Train (NTT) is the collective term for the modern passenger fleet of the New York City Subway that has entered service since the turn of the 21st century. This includes the current R142, R142A, R143, R160, R179, and R188 models, along with the R211 model which is currently being delivered, and the planned R262 model. Two prototypes, the R110A and R110B, were used to test the features that would be found on all NTT trains today. New trade theory (NTT) is a collection of economic models in international trade theory which focuses on the role of increasing returns to scale and network effects, which were originally developed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Niuatoputapu Airport , also known as Mata'aho Airport, is an airport in Niuatoputapu, Tonga. The airfield is an unsealed coral strip. Damage to the airport from the 2009 Samoa earthquake and tsunami caused it to be temporarily closed following the disaster. After clearing the mud and debris of the runway, the rest of the country was finally equipped to provide aid to empower the Niuatoputapu residents and facilitated the rehabilitation of the community.
