NRW Literatur Im Netz
NRW Literatur im Netz is a German internet database with short biographies of persons who have lived or worked in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Westphälische Literaturbüro (Westphalian office for literature) in Unna operates the biggest database for literary production in North Rhine-Westphalia, continuously updated since 2001. The database presents authors from NRW with detailed portraits as well as literary institutions and publishers. Content Currently the database contains the bio-bibliographical data of more than 600 authors from North Rhine-Westphalia. It also offers text samples or press photographs, of the writers for download. Amongst other things, it allows searches for authors by region, genre, gender or in alphabetical order. In addition, the section Institutions offers information on publishers, libraries and literary institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia. Jürgen Kehrer
Jürgen Kehrer (born 21 January 1956) is a German author. His success led to a substantial change in German crime fiction and brought a new industry to his chosen home town of Münster. Life Jürgen Kehrer was born in Essen in the Ruhr region and lived in this very urban part of North Rhine-Westphalia until he moved eventually to the Münster region, which is largely agricultural. His university training was in the field of education. Like many academics of his generation he was attracted by journalism and worked fourteen years as a journalist and editor before he decided to publish his first novel. Emine Sevgi Özdamar
Emine Sevgi Özdamar (born 10 August 1946) is a writer, director, and actress of Turkish origin who resides in Germany and has resided there for many years. Özdamar's art is unique in that it is influenced by her life experiences, which straddle the countries of Germany and Turkey throughout times of turmoil in both. One of her most notable accomplishments is winning the 1991 Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. Özdamar's literary work has received much recognition and scholarly attention. A lover of poetry, she found great inspiration in the works of Heinrich Heine and Bertolt Brecht, especially from an album of the latter's songs which she had bought in the 1960s in Berlin. Erik Martin (12 January 1936 in Neuss – 25 April 2017) was a German writer, songwriter and composer of songs. He was the founder and editor of the literature and art magazine ''Muschelhaufen''. Annette Langen (born 29 April 1967) is a German author of children's and young adults’ literature. Since 1989, she has published over 100 books; parts of her work have been translated into over 30 languages. Her best-known work is the children's book series ''Letters from Felix'', which has been published since 1994, about a traveling stuffed rabbit. He is the former director of the Institute for Oriental and Asian Studies at the University of Bonn, Germany. Brigitte Kronauer
Brigitte Kronauer (29 December 1940 – 22 July 2019) was a German writer who lived in Hamburg.
